It is very difficult to see someone we care about being narc abused.

The truth is we can only present the opportunity for healing, and then we have to let go.

People only take on their own evolution when a) they have had enough of the pain to experience personal catharsis, and b) when they become self-aware enough to take responsibility to do the necessary work on themselves and are willing to commit to this in order to heal.

We need to not interrupt this process of people finding that place for themselves, via the pain – because people never choose healing and self-development authentically when it is inflicted on them by someone else.

If we are struggling to let go of taking responsibility for people who are not taking responsibility for themselves – then WE have work to do on this issue within us.

It is incredible how many of us who have been narc abused have struggled even before this level of abuse to feel safe in our bodies and in life.

That is Law of Attraction at work – our deepest fears do come to meet us via people and events – so that the unconscious becomes conscious and we can finally heal.

I totally agree with you that narcissism is a spiritual (soul) issue, and that is why this issue cannot be dealt with at a cognitive mind level.

I certainly do believe in a higher power Source / God / Life and recognise that narcissism is the complete disconnection from that Higher Power..

In fact narcissists believe that they are ‘God’ – the ego is about believing in all-mighty Omnipotence.

To be abused by someone who has that level of separation constitutes soul rape – and no less.

Hence why we need to strive to exorcize the demons the narcissist has projected through us, and uplevel our own disconnection of not Sourcing through God / Source / Life which has created our vulnerabilities to these people.

If we don’t establish our own connection with this Higher Power (whatever our understanding of a Higher Power is) – then ABSOLUTELY we will try to get it through inferior and even abusive sources.

There is a great book ‘Splitting’ by Bill Eddy, which I would thoroughly recommend. It is about dealing in proceedings with someone who has a personality disorder. That may assist you at this time.
