Oh my goodness – such bad advice. Your points 3. and 4. to me are just laughable 😐 Sorry, but sitting down with the narcissist in an effort to have some kind of mediation assumes that normal rules apply and that you’re dealing with a normal person. Forget the idea that you’re dealing with “normal”!

A week and a half ago, I was terminated “without cause” from my full-time job. I see now the lovebombing in the beginning was something that was never authentic, although I always maintained a strong work ethic and did alot for the people we support. Most importantly, the people we served as an organization trusted me and we had great relationships. I firmly believe, more and more, that the reason I was discarded from the company is that my supervisor (and maybe others) felt threatened due to their own insecurities. They basically ended my employment before I could do whatever they thought in their fearful mind I was going to do. I have no idea why my employment has ended, and sadly the individuals we support are left with a big question mark as to why yet another person they has d for support has disappeared suddenly, “without cause”…although I imagine there has been a smear campaign of some kind brought forth about me.

The content here has really helped to validate what I went through and encourages me to stay strong. I knew early on that my supervisor, and possibly others in management, were narcissists, but the ending really confirmed it.

I would really appreciate some solid advice on where to go from here…still have some brain fog due to the abuse and trauma.

Probably he wanted your role from the very beginning and has slandered you with her, I thought I was the only one dealing with 2 narcs in the same environment but you had the same bad luck

Your story is so similar to mine, the bitch used to refer to me talking in third person and in a dispregiative way to get a reaction, after my reaction she started “don’t start to create fuss as you always do, stop it now!” you were great to report him, I did the same even if she was intimidating me and saying that the person to whom I reported her hated me but this was one of her many lies and she was really sympathetic, after she realized I was reporting her obviously she changed her attitude, just a little advice never warning a narcissist, knowing your intentions he/she will intensify the smear campaign and you will lose credibility, just do it and let them find out when it’s already done
